In a world where almost everything is done on the internet, the time people spend on their personal computers have increased tremendously. There can be heath complications arising from this singular act, heavy users like bloggers and PC gamers seem to be the most type of users that falls under the “heavy usage” category. While everyone has set a target to surpass a milestone, we must also start to consider our health, so the reward for hard-work won’t be an unhealthy future. As a tech blogger, I am a victim of this, spending countless hours on my PC, but after reconsidering my footpath, I did some dig-up and come up with these 4 recommended exercises for those who spend too much time on PC
.
Effect of Sitting Too Long Your Desk
A lot of negative effects have been attributed to long time on the PC, the few listed below forms the most dominant effect that may deprive one of a healthy future.
1. The chances of a heart disease raises above 50%
2. Prone to cancer
3. Eye problem
4. Back pain
5. Cutting down quality life ahead
Health professionals have recommended a standing desk as a measure of preventing the outcome of these negative effects. However, these exercises listed below seem to have a better prevention mechanism than any other and I recommend it.
4 Recommended Exercises For PC Users
1. Skipping
This is my favorite, I spend about 15-minutes every day skipping and I have never looked back. Skipping is so great because you can achieve a burn rate of close to 700 calories per hour. An estimated 0.1 calories is said to be consumed per jump.
Skipping is similar to jogging or riding a bicycle, but skipping is exceptionally great because you don’t need to be outdoors to get a result. You can do it right in your room.
Don’t Forget: How To Blog Without Stress
Ten minutes of skipping is equivalent to an 8-mile race. At first trial, you get tired but maintaining a routine is what produces best result.
2. Long Distance Walk
I know you have enough cash to splash on the cab driver or more than enough to purchase gasoline for yourself and colleagues, but it is great to leave your vehicle in the garage and make use of your feet. Walking doesn’t have to be all that boring, get your headset and play some really cool music and hit the road.
They are couple of times I take a long walk, but I do this when I am going home so the shower won’t be too difficult to find.
3. Push Ups
When I started a push up routine, the highest I could go was 20 before I hit the ground. Don’t laugh because these days I can go up to 50. At least that’s better? I have reduced my push up though, as skipping is my primary exercise and I enjoy every bit of it.
Now, as an individual spending over 6-hours on your PC, you really need to get busy with some push-ups. When you begin, don’t forget to let us know how many push up’s you did before you made the floor your best friend.
4. Massage The Eyes
Long concentration on your PC strains your eyes and if you don’t use medicated glasses already, it won’t be too long before you are prompted to get one by your optometrist.
It is best practice to massage both eyes with your hands immediately after you shut down your computer. This way, you work on the eye muscles thus preventing eye defects from excessive usage of the eye on the computer.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while you are trying to win the most hardworking staff award or want to blog your way to the bank, always remember that heath supersede every other life’s achievements. It is best practice to prioritize your health and enjoy a future where health becomes wealth.
