VHS Video Tape
In 1975 Sony released the first ever home video recorder using the Betamax format. Soon, JVC introduced the VHS format tapes that was cheaper and lighter, it could also hold two-hour movie instead of Betamax’s one hour limit – That key advantage was enough for JVC to topple Sony’s Betamax video format to become the industry standard.
