Google’s new update seamlessly integrates Gmail and Google+, allowing Gmail users to send mails to anyone on their Google+ Circle. The moment you start typing a name on the recipient tab, Google fills it with matches even when their email address is unaware to you. Meaning you can send mails to just about anyone on your Googe+ profile, as well as receive mails in your inbox which would be located on the Social Tab of your Gmail.
Lots of users are against this move by Google, insisting it’s a way of enhancing and promoting spam messages in their inbox. If you share similar ideology and want to get rid of this feature, Google has left the door open to make the change happen.

Firstly, before you decide to turn off the Google+ email feature, you need to be aware that once an email from a Google+ user is marked as spam, the user would be unable to send further emails. If you are still uncomfortable with the changes to your Gmail, here is how to fix it.
All you need to do is access your Gmail Settings, locate the option “Email via Google+.” A dropdown menu would appear where you will be provided with options that best suits your needs. You can allow those in your Circles or disable it entirely. After selecting an option, save and exit the page.
You Gmail should now effectively reflect your choice.
