A few weeks ago, Adsense publishers in India were happy over Google’s decision to add the world’s second most popular country to her list of countries with “ETF” capabilities. Fast forward to this moment and the search giant has finally included Nigeria to her “ETF” enabled countries.
What this means is that, Adsense publishers in Nigeria will now be able to receive their earnings directly into their bank accounts. This eliminates two disturbing barriers; missing cheques and delay in payment processing. Publishers who choose secure delivering usually paid the expenses from their earnings for courier services and also had to get a deduction from their banks for “cheque processing fee”. The “secure delivering” option has been discontinued altogether with Google’s new payment update for Nigeria.

With the new “Wire Transfer” option for Nigerian Google Adsense publishers, payment would be faster and very secure. However, your local bank will charge for “Wire Transfer” which should vary amongst the banks in Nigeria.
What Changed In The New Adsense Payment Update?
- Payment method is now called Form of payment.
- Unpaid finalized earnings is now called Current balance.
- Redesigned transaction history table shows you the latest activities at the top.
- New toolbar support allows you to filter, print, export, or download
transaction information.
More flexibility with your payment settings
- New extended timeline allows you to change your payment information until the 20th of any month.
- You can choose any payment threshold greater than the default payment threshold based on your reporting currency.
- You can also hold your payments until a specified date.
Improved navigation of the payments interface
- Centralized locations to manage your Payment settings and Payee Profile.
- Contextual help is displayed based on the pages you navigate to [Source: Google].
How To Set Up Adsense Wire Transfer For Nigerians
Basically, you will need to visit your bank or call their help lines to acquire your bank’s SWIFT-BIC – a unique identification code for a particular bank and it is a standard format of Bank Identifier Codes (BIC).
Once you have the SWIFT-BIC, on your Adsense Dashboard, Navigate to Payment >> Payment Settings >> Add a New Form of Payment.
You will be required to submit Your SWIFT-BIC, Your Account Holder’s Name, Your Bank Name, and Your Account Number in a form that the Adsense team would use in initiating and establishing a “Wire Transfer” directly to your bank account.
