As the launch of Tecno Camon C8 draws closer, the anticipation for a device that is poised to be the best camera smartphone ever released by the Chinese OEM has reached levels of previously unseen height.
[Don’t Miss: Tecno Camon C8 Hands-on Review, A Phone For The Money]
The Camon C8 is massive feat of engineering master-piece for a mid-range smartphone. Tecno appears to have a dynamic mobile strategy that continues to delude other mobile vendors.
Remember the Tecno Boom J7? That was a music centric smartphone. The Camon C8 is designed with camera lovers in mind. On the device name, a shutter icon is easily visible, signifying that the device does camera as its primary engineering concept.
Tecno Camon C8 Specifications
This isn’t a review, our review will come up later so I wouldn’t delve into the internal specifications of the Camon C8, but the basics which includes;

What’s In The Box?
In the box, you get the Tecno Camon C8 with a massive 3000mAh battery, a charger, a USB cord, a phone case, earpiece and a user manual.
There are no extra goodies, just what you see inside a standard phone box.
Unboxing
Camon C8 is shelled in a bulky box, just like other recently released phones by Tecno. You only have to slide out from the box to reveal the eye-loving smartphone.
Revealing The 13MP Shooter
Just at the back, top center of the smartphone, you will instantly notice the 13MP primary shooter with dual LED light.
Power And Camera Shutter Button Spotted
On the right edge of the Camon C8 is the power button and a dedicated shutter button that enters camera mode without navigating through the GUI.
Where Are The Volume controls?
Here you have it, just at the left edge of phone. Not difficult to locate. Uhmmm
3.5mm Earphone Jack Spotted At The Top
USB Port At The Bottom
Inside The Back Cover
You will notice a 3000mAh battery, and its not removable. There is support for SIM, micro-SIM cards and a microSD card.
First Impression
The Camon C8 comes with a premium build; it isn’t slim by any standard but not too bulky to cause any annoyance. I like the mixture of metal frame and leather casing that guarantees a firm grip.
The big surprise is the gigantic 3000mAh battery for long usage. Tecno has a firm understanding of the Nigeria markets; they were the pioneer mobile vendor in whose eyes other OEM got attracted to the most robust mobile market in Africa. So, you can expect their devices to be tailored with the mind of an average tech savvy guy in Nigeria which I believe ultimately led to fixing its camera department.
Exclusive and un-edited shots taken with the smarphone were published earlier. I will take more shots to really see how far Tecno has stretched the camera in its latest flagship device.
