This is the most common problem faced by Dell users. Suggested solution is good but may not work in all situations. To fix this error you can call on our toll free 1-800-924-4927 number to take the help of our technical experts.

      Here’s how I fixed mine……
      1) Take out the battery.
      2) Unplug the AC adapter from laptop.
      3) Hold down Power Button for 30 seconds, then release.
      4) Put battery back in.
      5) Plug in AC adapter power cord.
      6) Power on with Power button in usual manner. BINGO!
P.S. I remember reading about this procedure, quite sometime ago, and honestly, can’t for the life of me remember what or why this procedure was relative to.
I just happen to remember it, and figured I had nothing to lose. I was pretty shocked that it worked. So simple too.

I am glad it worked for you Marc, it’s a shame Dell didn’t do a recall.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5030 that is getting this error. Only had this laptop for less than 2 years. I will try this solution, thanks. If this doesn’t work or it does it again, I will make a youtube video of me smashing it with a sledge hammer and advising never to buy Dell.

I will never purchase from Dell again.
