Apple is said to drop the number “5” behind the SE of its upcoming iPhone so it would simply be known as iPhone SE.
The reason of this is to avoid confusion if it is named 5SE since the 5th generation of the iPhone was launched two years ago and plans on top gear for the upcoming iPhone 7.
Live shots of the iPhone SE emerged on the internet, the photos do reveal some design element of the 5th generation iPhone present in the upcoming phone, like the squarish frame which would likely eliminate the possibility of 3D Touch feature.
Meanwhile popular Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo is optimistic the iPhone SE will feature a 12MP primary shooter rather than an 8MP camera as widely speculated. Kuo also believes the unit will retail for $400-$500 and will be available in two options – 16GB and 64GB. The iPhone SE is also rumoured to come with 1642mAh battery power.

The new iPhone SE would be unveiled at an Apple event on March 22. The company will also launch its hotly anticipated 9.70-inch iPad Pro.
