I have been playing with the Infinix Note 3 for some weeks now, I was pretty much consigned with the performance difference between the Note 2 before deciding to write the Infinix Note 3 review.
Like you already know, we make no excuses for our verdicts and believe our reviews stand for themselves. We take reviews of our stuff seriously. Your time and your money are on the line when you’re deciding if you should purchase a tablet, smartphone, a PC peripheral, speakers, games or apps based on our judgement.
Definitely, this was not going to be a hurried Infinix Note 3 review and I can say that the performance has been pretty okay for its price. The Note 3 is definitely going to empty your wallet, but it turns out it is a nice bet and value for money.
So, before going into the Infinix Note 3 review in detail, let’s tale a look at Infinix Note 3 specifications, then we will find out what we have in the simple box.
Infinix Note 3 Review: Unboxing… Any Surprises?
In the box, you have Infinix Note 3, a charger, micro USB cable, handsfree and a surprise gift; tampered glass.
Of course, there are other piece of paper called manual that eventually ends up in the trash can. I wonder if any still reads the manual.. I could be wrong anyway.. So, where do we go from here? Your guess is as good as mine, let us jump into the Infinix Note 3 review.

Infinix Note 3 Review: Design and Build
Infinix Note 3 is a full unibody metal smartphone with no much of a difference with the Infinx Note 2.
At one point, it appears smartphone makers will have no design concept anymore because all smartphones are now looking like a twin, like they were made in the same manufacturing plant.
That aside, the real deal is found in the power and performance of the mid-range phablet.
You have the selfie camera at the front that comes with a 5MP sensor and a 13MP primary camera at the back, sitting just below the boxed fingerprint scanner and dual LED flash.
On the left frame of the Note 3, you have the ejectable dual SIM slot and on the right, you spot the power button and volume rocker. The micro-SD slot, also ejectable is placed at the right frame. Standard stuff, if you know I mean.
The dual speaker grill is found at the bottom of the smartphone. Unfortunately, this is a new design gimmick. The speaker is only found on one grill while the mic sits on the other grill.
One thing I noticed is that the smartphone doesn’t feel heavy despite being a giant 6-inch FHD device. Infinix has a nice record of making lightweight phones which makes sense.
Infinix Note 3 Review: Features And Spec
The Note 3 comes with a 6.0-inch FHD (1920×1080) triluminous display. The display is bright and has vibrant colors.
Infinix equipped the Note 3 with an octa-core MediaTek processor and 2GB of RAM. It is responsive, the smartphone is capable of handling demanding apps and games.
Multi-taskig has been excellent so far. Running through multiple apps hasn’t caused much of an issue but that doesn’t mean we are not tired of more RAM.
Infinix Note 3 Review: Benchmarking Tests/Software
Here are the scores of the benchmarking tests using the most popular benchmarking apps; AnTuTu and GeekBench4.
Firstly, the Note 3 scored 33000 on AnTuTu.
Here is how GeekBench sees the Infinix Note 3.
Talking about the software, Infinix Note 3 uses the XOS Chameleon, a custom UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The OS brings a lot of customization and features into the Note 3. You can use the XManager, XAccount, XClub, XWeather and XHide to a whole lot of things. The notification tray is also uncluttered, containing just the needed settings to make life on the smartphone easy.
Infinix Note 3 Review: Battery
In terms of battery power, the smartphone is rated 4500mAh, it is equally paired with the famous fast-charging technology powered by MediaTek pump express charge technology.
Right now, you can get a decent amount of power from just 5-mins charge on the in-built battery of the Note 3. This is one underrated feature, but it is everything you need in a country like Nigeria where everyone knows whats the old school “NEPA” or whatever it is called in your region can do.

Is there a way to root this device? I can’t use a non-rooted phone, it’s the first thing I check before buying
